Winter Wonderland Stroll through Campus

So last night and this morning it was snowing again. So after lunch Kylee and I went on a walk around campus and had a blast taking pictures and acting like dorks.








These next pictures are some of my favorite pictures. The snow just made the rocks look beautiful.














Kylee and I walked past the canal that goes through campus and we both got a good laugh at what someone had thrown on top of the ice.








This is a demonstration of how much snow we have...and it is only the beginning.




This one duck that decided it would rather stay in the freezing cold then fly away. It was super cute watching it try to swim in a half frozen lake.








I told Kylee to squat so I could take a picture, and after I showed her the picture she couldn't stop laughing because Kylee thought the picture looked like she was going to the bathroom.




I looked over and saw Kylee putting her hands in the snow, and I thought it was cute so I had to take a picture of it.







This is the L&L building....where I spend way too much time five times a week.



So one of the bridges at the school has a ledge you can walk on so naturally, because it had hardly footprints on it, I had to walk on it.

A fun night in the dorm

So ever since Kylee and I got out of classes it has been snowing. Tonight we wanted to do something fun and and so Kylee and I bundled up and walked over to the 7-11 by the school. We redboxed a movie and picked up ice cream - and of course I got a soda. On the way to the store we were taking pictures because the snow was making everything around us look beautiful. So here are the pictures:


On this next picture we didn't realize the camera was zoomed in, so it's just our faces...I think it's cute.




The canal that goes through the school is frozen, and I tried to capture that with these next two pictures.

Here is a picture of what the road looks like. I really don't think I want to drive in that.

First Snowfall

Today was the first snowfall of the season! It's been snowing for a good three hours now and the trees look beautiful.


This is Kylee and I on our way to the cafeteria for lunch.

Pineapple Race

On Saturday morning Alex and I did the Pineapple Race together with one of his co-workers. It was in North Bend and so in order to get there soon enough to get everything figured out we left my house at nine in the morning. When we got to where the race was there were mountains surrounding the meadow. The mountains were extremely pretty because they were sprinkled with snow.


This is the three of us before the race. This is also before it started raining. Right before our wave started the rain came and it kept raining harder throughout the race. That mixed with the cold made it so that my the end of the race my fingers were so frozen that they burned.

So our name was "Super Spam" so Alex printed out pictures of a spam container and stapled them to out mini capes.

So after the race we were all muddy and saturated. My luau skirt was too long for me and so the entire bottom half was nothing but mud and it make running harder to do.
The race itself was a lot like The Warrior Dash. It was a 5k with obstacles thrown in throughout. The only added difference in this race was that there were teams and the team had to carry a pineapple throughout the entire race. Overall I still like the Warrior Dash better, but this race was fun too.

My Tattoo / Harry Potter Night

Thursday Evening I got a tattoo! I got it at Kylee's house because her family is friends with this guy named Joe, who has been in the business for a long time.

In this first picture Joe and I are finalizing the design of my tattoo.

The next step is the process was to put the design on shoulder. It worked in the same way that those little tattoos you apply with water work.



The next step was figuring out the vines. Joe just took a pen and drew the vines on my shoulder. That way I could see what the tattoo was going to look like before we even started.





Now it is time for getting the actual tattoo. This is when I'm starting to get a little nervous because I don't really know what to expect.


And it begins....The pain wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting, however it still did hurt. I mean it is a needle. Joe started with the outline first.







This is the final product!


Joe put saran wrap on the tattoo. I had to leave it there for an hour.


After I got done with my tattoo the gang went out and got Harry Potter part two at midnight. Then we came back to Kylee's and watched the movie.

Catching up...

I'm still trying to get used to taking my camera everywhere so I can blog about what goes on in my life. Though this post is not going to have any pictures, I'm playing catch up.

1. Mom's Halloween Party
Check her blog cuz it's on there. Same party so the post would have been close to the same anyways. The only difference is that I couldn't go see my dad play. While the "grown ups" were out doing that "us kids" were hanging out at home. We went and got some Papa Merphy's and watched Signs. After that we Youtubed various videos and had a lot of laughter.

2. Alex's Weekend Visit
This last weekend Alex came up to visit. Yes I know I have no excuse for having no pictures of this because he was here for three days...but sadly there are no pictures. The weekend was pretty eventful. (2A) THE OWL --> Friday night Alex and I took a evening drive up into the hills. As we were driving along the dirt road this gigantic owl flew right in front of us. He landed in the middle of the road about 50 feet away. (and yes I was so mad at myself because I didn't have my camera) After a couple minutes the owl flew to a fence post about 10 feet off the road. Alex and I were trying to takes pictures of the owl with our phones, but of course they turned out grainy. So...I got out of the car and walked up the owl trying to get a closer. I got to the side of the road (10 feet remember) and the owl just looked at me. It was amazing being that close to that gigantic bird without it flying away. (2B) LEAVENWORTH --> On Saturday Alex, Kylee, and I went to Leavenworth for the day. It was super fun to just walk around and shop a little bit. I bought Alex's parents Christmas present. Alex and Kylee bought some presents as well. The highlight of the day though was Alex and the hot sauce. One of the stores we went into had out sample of a hot sauce so hot there were danger signs around it. Of course this means a challenge for Alex. Almost immediately after he tasted it I had to buy him a Snapple (I was already buying something so that way he didn't have to wait in line). Then for about 5 minutes afterwards he looked drunk because he couldn't focus or walk his eyes were so bury. Part of me felt so bad for him, and the other part was laughing...on the inside of course.

3. The Car
Last week the engine light on the Sentra turned on and so yesterday I took it to the shop. Turns out nothing was wrong with it. The light just turned on because the car was too cold. Taking the car in had it's advantages however. Kylee went with me so I wouldn't have to walk back to school by myself. We figured because we were out we would have some fun. So we got manicures! It was fun to go out and just have a relaxing time while someone else make my nails look pretty. And guess what color they are? Lime Green!...but I know everyone could guess that.

Sorry this is wordy with no pictures. I'm just a slacker. But do not worry! I have a very packed weekend and this time I will have my camera! So next week I will do post for this coming weekend. =)

Halloween Care Packet

Today my family came up to visit--including my grandma. With them they brought me a Halloween care packet. It was so sweet!




My mom always does the coolest things for holidays!

We also went to Leavenworth for the day. I forgot my camera so I have no pictures of that, but it was a blast! Such a good day.
